Re: [Air-L] Q re a survey on reddit (Jeremy Foote)
Hi Noriko, As far as I know r/SampleSize (https://www.reddit.com/r/SampleSize/ <https://www.reddit.com/r/SampleSize/>) is the only subreddit where you can post links to surveys without getting permission from individual subreddit moderators first. If you post in other subs without getting permission from the mods it will likely be deleted. Part of this depends on how the request is distributed. When I tried to use the API to distribute surveys via PM, I was told by the reddit admins that it would get my user banned.

Mostly just the communities themselves. I highly recommend asking the moderators of the subreddits you post in.

Dear all,
I plan to distribute a survey among reddit users using their API. Does anyone know if there is any policy regarding conducting research on reddit, especially about distributing a survey among users? IRB approved the survey.
Any advice would be appreciated,
Noriko
