There is a good chapter in Jenny Preece's "Online Communities: Designing Usability and Supporting Sociability" that includes a case study on the Down Syndrome Online Advocacy Group. More on the book and online community development are available here: http://www.ifsm.umbc.edu/onlinecommunities/ She may have also written more about similar groups. - Peter Peter Genuardi pag22@georgetown.edu -----Original Message----- From: air-l-admin@aoir.org [mailto:air-l-admin@aoir.org] On Behalf Of myildiz@indiana.edu Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2003 12:27 PM To: air-l@aoir.org Subject: [Air-l] a question on "medical informatics", I suppose Hi, Here is an e-mail message from a friend of mine who is not on this list.
