CALL FOR MOBILE HCI WORKSHOPS! ******************************************* Submit workshop proposal by January 28th, 2011 Workshops are held on August 30th, 2011. http://www.mobilehci2011.org/node/20 MobileHCI 2011 will be held between the 30th of August and the 2nd September, 2011 in Stockholm, Sweden. www.mobilehci2011.org/ <http://www.mobilehci2011.org/> www.facebook.com/mobilehci2011 <http://www.facebook.com/mobilehci2011> www.twitter.com/mobilehci2011 <http://www.twitter.com/mobilehci2011> Workshop organisation ************************* Are you working in an emerging area in MobileHCI? Please consider organizing a workshop! Workshops allow members of a community to meet in the context of a focused and interactive discussion. Arranging a workshop is an opportunity to move the field forward and to build a community. MobileHCI workshops might address basic research, applied research, HCI practice, new methodologies, emerging application areas, design innovations, management and organizational issues, or HCI education. Each workshop should generate ideas that give the MobileHCI community a new, organized way of thinking about the topic, or ideas that suggest promising directions for future research. Workshops will be held on August 30. Two workshop formats will be available: half-day and full-day. Workshop organisers submit a workshop proposal to the MobileHCI conference. The proposals are reviewed and are either accepted or rejected. If a workshop is accepted, the workshop is publicised by both MobileHCI conference and the workshop organisers. Workshop participants submit papers to the workshop, that are reviewed by the workshop organisers who decide on the final list of workshop participants. Workshops are only open to people who have had their paper accepted by the workshop organisers, and who have registered for both the workshop and the MobileHCI conference. The MobileHCI program committee suggests April 8th, 2011 as a deadline for papers and May 15th, 2011 as a deadline for notification of acceptance. Proposal ********** The workshop proposal should be written in MobileHCI 2011Extended Abstracts Format (ACM) and include three distinct sections: 1) the proposal, 2) a call for participation and 3) a cover sheet, submitted as one combined PDF file. Submit your proposal by January 28th, to the Easy Chair system: https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=mobilehci2011 A more detailed CfP with writing instructions is found here http://www.mobilehci2011.org/node/20 If you have questions about Workshops for MobileHCI2011, contact the Workshop Chairs Giulio Jacucci and Sara Ljungblad at: workshops@mobilehci2011.org <mailto:workshops@mobilehci2011.org> ***************************************************************************** MobileHCI 2011 is organised by the Mobile Life VinnExcellence Centre (Stockholm University, Interactive Institute and SICS) in collaboration with Ericsson, Nokia, Kista Science City, the City of Stockholm, and in cooperation with ACM SIGCHI and ACM SIGMOBILE.
