The School was created in 2004 and includes a very congenial and growing faculty. In 2008, the School will be housed in a new $60 million Greenspun Hall with television studios, an FM radio station, convergence labs and many other facilities. The university includes excellent research and law libraries and is in the midst of a major building campaign. * * *RESPONSIBILITIES* This is a full-time, 9-month, tenured full professor position starting August 2007. The successful candidate will teach a combination of theoretical and applied undergraduate and/or graduate courses in media specializations strongly connected to emerging media. Integrated marketing communication, social marketing, advertising/public relations design, multi-platform content development are preferred areas of expertise. The successful candidate will welcome engagement in curricula development, have a demonstrated record of outstanding teaching and/or training success, and have a nationally recognized program in research and/or creative activity in media studies. Other responsibilities include working with graduate students as a committee member or chair of theses and participating in appropriate levels of service at the school, college, and university levels. *QUALIFICATIONS* *Required:* Ph.D. in journalism, mass communication or relevant field from an accredited college or university. *Preferred:* Professional experience desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated record suitable for tenure consideration at time of hire. *SALARY RANGE* Salary competitive; contingent on labor market.
