The Department of Communication at Rutgers University (not to be confused with the Department of Journalism/Media Studies) has up to two position openings. Ulla Bunz ************************************** Position Announcement: The Department of Communication at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey invites applications for up to two positions (1 assistant professor, 1 rank open) from active researchers whose scholarship clearly enhances existing departmental strengths in and across its three areas of focus: social interaction, organizational communication, and technologically mediated communication processes. The department strongly encourages minority applications to further the development of diversity among its faculty. The department consists of 20 faculty members who supervise research and teach in an undergraduate degree in Communication, a Master's in Communication and Information Studies, and Ph.D. in Communication, Information, and Library Studies. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Communication or related social science discipline with a clearly defined and active program of research that complements existing departmental research strengths. Evidence of teaching excellence, and demonstrated research productivity, scholarly impact required. Senior applicants should have a record of national and international distinction and a highly visible, focused and active program of externally funded research.
