Research (45%) - The selected candidate will develop social science research studies in the field relative to digital humanities and culture. - The candidate will take charge of the master's programme in digital humanities and culture - He/She will take responsibility for contracts which favour collaboration with local and international partners. - He/She will seek out research opportunities from outside sources, in particular those offered by the National Fund for Scientific Research (NFSR). Administrative tasks (10%) - In accordance with the legal system and the requirements of the collegial structure, the successful candidate agrees to assume administrative tasks from the Institute, the Faculty, the University and its associated bodies. - He/She will assume responsibility for the development and follow-up of the master's programme in digital humanities and culture and assure the cooperation with local partners, the various faculties, as well as other institutes of higher education, in particular the digital humanities section of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL). ***Desired profile - Doctorate degree in social science or equivalent - University teaching experience in the field of digital humanities and culture either in terms of the subject of digital studies or in the conception and development of social science tools. - Recognised research in the field of digital humanities and culture. - Good information technology skills for the social sciences. - Excellent mastery of qualitative and/or quantitative analyses methods most notably applied to a corpus and/or images with the ability to update these methods. - Ability to collaborate and integrate his/her studies into the core of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. - Ability to initiate and lead a group project involving several partners. - Well established in international networks. ***How to apply Interested candidates are kindly requested to submit via email a letter of application, curriculum vitae, copies of degrees, a list of publications and the five most significant publications in pdf format to: rhssp@unil.ch.
