Dear friends, The recent AOIR pre-conference on Qualitative Methods was very productive and well attended. We had 27 participants from multiple countries and with a wide range of experiences, projects, and background. Nancy Baym and I would particularly like to thank our co-facilitators for this workshop, including: Christine Hine Lori Kendall Shani Orgad We're looking forward to continued dialogue about various issues and challenges in Internet research that involves qualitative inquiry. To that end, I welcome you to join in our conversations about qualitative research methods. The AOIR mailing list on Qualitative methods is up and running. As well, Terri Senft is hosting some post-conference conversations on her Live Journal. Here are some places to start talking, if you're interested: Terri's Live Journal regarding the Qualitative Research pre-conference http://www.livejournal.com/users/tsenft/#item259786 mailing list for AoIR Qualitative methods: http://listserv.aoir.org/listinfo.cgi/air-qualitativemethods-aoir.org My Regards, Annette
