Focusing on cybersecurity and cyberwarfare, the Symposium provides informed commentary and in-depth research on the impact of state surveillance and control of the internet on the heels of the Montevideo statement<http://www.icann.org/en/news/announcements/announcement-07oct13-en.htm>. Open to all attendees, the Symposium is making a special effort to encourage participation and interaction with the IGF community by co-sponsoring with the Association for Progressive Communications<http://www.apc.org/en> (APC) an afternoon of forums where attendees will be able to directly engage with experts in an open conversation about cybersecurity and cyberwarfare.
