The appointment will commence on July 1, 2015. We seek a candidate to build on the strengths of the Institute through research that examines the intersection of culture and new media in relation to the social, political, and economic dimensions of life in both Canada and abroad. We are particularly interested in individuals doing work in areas like digital culture, surveillance studies, and globalization. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. degree by the appointment start date (or shortly thereafter) in a related field and have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses focusing on culture and new media and s/he will have a graduate appointment in one of the University’s tri-campus graduate departments.
