*Dear colleagues,* *You are warmly invited to apply to a new programme from* *The Digital Statecraft Academy (DSA), <https://digitalstatecraft.academy/>* *which may be of interest to those working on digital government, data and AI in public institutions.* *DSA Algorithmic State Architecture Programme, Cambridge: <https://digitalstatecraft.academy/dsa-algorithmic-state-architecture-asa-programme/>* *an in-person deep dive into the systems and structures behind digital statecraft* *Residential Programme Dates:* 24 - 30 January 2027 *Location:* Cambridge, United Kingdom *Full details and to apply**:* https://digitalstatecraft.academy/dsa-algorithmic-state-architecture-asa-pro... Governments everywhere are under pressure to make AI-enabled transformation work as a coherent architecture that holds together end to end. Most training in this space offers a general survey of AI and data governance. This one-week residential programme takes a different approach. *The framework* : The programme is built on DSA's Algorithmic State Architecture (ASA) framework <https://arxiv.org/abs/2503.08725>, which treats the four domains at the centre of this challenge not as parallel initiatives to be run separately, but as components of a coherent whole that depend on and shape one another: - *Foundation* — Digital Public Infrastructure - *Intelligence* — Data for Policy - *Process* — Algorithmic Government / Governance - *Service* — GovTech A failure or gap in one layer propagates into the others, even when each is governed carefully on its own terms. *The week*: Over five intensive days, participants work through each layer: its mechanisms, its dependencies, and where it most often breaks. - Hands-on workshops rather than lectures - Comparative case material from governments at different stages of digital transformation - A live problem from your own institution or research, carried through all five days - A closing maturity map of your own institution: where its strengths lie, where its bottlenecks sit, and what to prioritise next - Direct working access to the scholars and practitioners behind the ASA framework (who we are <https://digitalstatecraft.academy/who-we-are/>) *Who it is for*: The cohort is small and deliberately cross-disciplinary, drawn internationally across government, research, and public-sector-facing private and civil-society roles: - Senior civil servants and public-sector technologists - GovTech, digital government and public-sector data leaders - Researchers and academics working on digital government, AI governance or public administration - Policy leads, regulators and oversight professionals - Consultants and multilateral agency officers working across several governments *Applying*: Applications are reviewed as they arrive and close when all places are filled. Early application is therefore encouraged, particularly for those who need time for visa, travel or funding arrangements. - *Final application deadline:* 25 November 2026 - *Registration and payment:* 15 December 2026 - *Residential programme in Cambridge:* 24 to 30 January 2027 Full details and the application form are on the programme page. <https://digitalstatecraft.academy/dsa-algorithmic-state-architecture-asa-programme/> Please feel free to share this programme with colleagues who may be interested. Best wishes, *The Digital Statecraft Academy*
