Dear Researchers, I am delighted to be part of this elite forum of International Researchers. My name is Hanna Gawel and I am a Polish PhD student at Jagiellonian University, in the Doctoral School in the Social Sciences (discipline: Social Communication and Media Studies), with a background in Information Management and Library Studies. I am supervised by Professor Wiesław Babik. My research quantifies information ecology and evolutionary dynamics of information at a range of spatial, temporal, and taxonomic scales. I am exploring how modern communities of different generations respond to changes in the information environment during technological change and the information deluge. Understanding the events associated with informational pathologies could help communications professionals involved in information processing to create, adapt, and deliver reliable and high-quality information to the public. Over the next three years, I will be researching information regarding air quality in urban spaces of Polish, Finnish, Swedish and German cities. In doing so, I can then understand how (or if) information about air quality is developed and managed. I am also open to collaborating with experts in this domain too.
