The special issue of the Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication on "The Multilingual Internet" edited by Susan Herring and Brenda Danet has got some good material. http://www.ascusc.org/jcmc/vol9/issue1/ Nancy
Hello Colleagues,
I have been asked to add a couple of extra topics to a book chapter I am writing and am struggling to turn up any good references/sources of data. Perhaps people on this list can help?
The first concerns the impact of the digital divide on minority language communities in Europe.
The second is whether the quality of engagement in virtual communities might be different for minority language speakers.
I have my own opinions on these issues, but would be very grateful for anything more substantial or authoritative.
Thanks in advance.
Be seeing you,
Daniel.
