UTS is seeking an internationally recognised scholar in the fields of Cultural and/or Communication research to act as the inaugural Director of the Centre. The Centre currently comprises four research nodes - Cultural History, Transnational Cultural Studies, Cultural Interaction and New Media, International Activism. The Director will be expected to develop a vision for the Centre's future which ensures that UTS continues to be recognised for its national and international capability in communication and cultural research, to develop links with the external community, to contribute to the Centre's work by conducting his/her own research, to lead the Centre's researchers in the conduct of their research, to foster postgraduate research education in the field, and to ensure that funding to support the Centre's work is secured.
