Coker College's Department of Language, Literature and Communication invites applicants to apply for the position Adjunct Faculty for the Communication program beginning Fall 2015. Primary responsibilities include: - organizing and presenting subject matter in a meaningful way to achieve intended learning outcomes for students that may include the main campus, satellite campuses, and online instruction; - evaluating student progress; - recording student grades and attendance in WebAdvisor; - and other duties as assigned by the department chair or designee. Applicants should be passionate about teaching; dedicated to developing meaningful, collegial working relationships with students, faculty, and staff across campus; eager to contribute his/her interests and ideas for new and innovative courses and programs; and committed to actively contributing to Coker College's mission. The ideal candidate will be able to teach all levels of Public Speaking. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have expertise in at least one of the following areas: Public Speaking; Rhetoric. Master's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution and prior teaching experience in a collegiate or K-12 setting is preferred.
