On the topic of clarity and organization in writing, a great book that discusses how to build a clear, concise, and logical argument is The Craft of Research by Booth, Colomb, and Williams. A real gem. Nina Quoting "Denise N. Rall" <denrall@yahoo.com>:
Dear Air-ers -
Couldn't agree more on the Howard Becker. Helped me with wirting up my thesis.
Matthew Allen's (our prez) Smart Thinking is worth it's weight in gold. To claify thoughts and organize oneself logically BEFORE writing - might solve some serious writing tangles. Good thinking - and how to express that runs all the way through the book.
Not to be missed!
Denise
