Dear Colleagues, Just a quick note to let you know that the 8th edition of my Internet law casebook is now available. The 8th edition has new coverage of blockchains, the GDPR, and the sharing economy, and significantly reworked coverage of jurisdiction and harmful speech. Although it is written in the form of a law-school casebook, I have done my best to make it accessible to students in other programs, including undergraduates. I have kept the legal apparatus to a minimum, and the book provides capsule summaries of relevant legal principles wherever necessary. It is meant to be modular, so that it can be used to bring in a legal perspective on whichever issues you want to cover. As always, it's available as a DRM-free PDF download from Semaphore Press on a pay-what-you-want basis with a suggested price of $30. (You should feel free to "freeride" to download an evaluation copy.) There's a perfect-bound paperback version available through Amazon for $65.25. There's also an updated teachers' manual, which I am happy to provide to anyone who is adopting the casebook or considering it.
