[Air-L] Students' use of online resources

Dear all, A colleague of mine is planning research into how our distance learners use online resources, and is having trouble finding previous research in this area: for example, what proportion of them print out online articles or sections of e-books rather than reading on screen; and are there certain criteria which dictate whether they print them or not (length of paper, relevance etc)? The research which he is planning may also eventually include full-time students, but the primary focus is on online/distance learners at the moment.
