Hey Jim, Open Source Publishing, a group that came out of Constant, a Brussels based arts collective, have been researching and using versioning systems in graphic design/typography. http://strabic.fr/OSP-Visual-Culture In case you don’t speak French, this video is in English: https://vimeo.com/107907361 OSP has specifically focused on what it means to use versioning systems for collaborative work on images rather than on text/code. They use git, and not github, due to problems with licensing in the latter.
