Kansas State University’s A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in strategic communication to begin August 2020. The assistant professor applicant must have an earned doctoral degree in mass communication or related field by the time of appointment; the skills necessary to teach a variety of techniques and theoretical public relations and/or advertising courses (e.g. advertising and/or public relations writing, digital media, social media, campaigns) and upper level strategic communication electives in the candidate’s interest area; prior experience teaching or assisting in strategic communication (Ad and PR) courses; evidence of or demonstrated potential for publication in peer-reviewed journals and programmatic line of research; and demonstrated commitment to equity and an ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
