Just a quick note that the GROUP deadline for both research papers and design fictions has been extended by one week, to Friday, February 19. A friendly reminder that the deadline for papers and notes for GROUP 2016 is February 12, 2016. If you are unfamiliar with GROUP (the ACM conference on supporting group work), it is held in Sanibel Island, FL every other year. By design it tends to have heavy international participation, and though its focus is HCI/CSCW research, it has the specific goal to encourage interaction across disciplinary boundaries. This year's conference will be held November 13-16. Along with (archival, peer-reviewed) research papers, this year the conference has added a category for "Design Fictions," submissions that imagine possible futures for research on the relationships between computers and people. You will find more information here, along with later deadlines for posters, workshops, and works-in-progress: http://oldwww.acm.org/conferences/group/conferences/group16/publish.html I am happy to answer any questions about the conference; just shoot me an email! - Casey --- Casey Fiesler Assistant Professor Department of Information Science University of Colorado Boulder www.caseyfiesler.com<http://www.caseyfiesler.com/>
