In relation to this thread in general but maybe more explicitly to John Wunderlich's mention of "The Human Behavior Experiments" on CBC and the research on obedience, authority, and related issues, there might be some interest in the series of ongoing conferences "At the Interface". Within this is "Monsters and the Monstrous: Myth and Metaphors of Enduring Evil" (18-21 September, Oxford, UK, http://www.wickedness.net/Monsters/M4/cfp.html I'm only familiar with the websites, but the slant is inter or transdisciplinary and it looks like it might match up with a lot of the research being mentioned here. There are llinks to the parent site, http://www.inter-disciplinary.net/ati/ati.htm and I found some interesting Nietzsche research in the e-journal, as well as gender related issues, http://www.wickedness.net/ej.htm Best regards, William William Bain PhD Student Comparative Literature Department of Spanish Philology Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona --------------------------------- Get your email and more, right on the new Yahoo.com
