Sorry for cross-listings! Hello LEGers! It's hiring time! I am looking for a few partners-in-crime to join the Media Arts department and teach in the brand new Media Studies and Production major at Marist College. This year there are two open positions: one is tenure-track and one is a professional lecturer (an ongoing position, which can be renewed, potentially, indefinitely). See below for the fine print! Marist College is located in Poughkeepsie, New York, in the beautiful Hudson Valley--a great place to live, but also just within commuting range of New York City. It's been wonderful being here and raising my family here! The students are absolutely amazing and a joy to teach and work with. If you love teaching, the flexibility to pursue your own scholarly or artistic interests, like having a balanced lifestyle, and want to be in the New York metro area, then this is the place for you. I really love working at Marist. Please email me any questions! See more at http://jobs.marist.edu/view_position.php?postingid=380 (Note that it says hours are 8:30-5 pm M-F, but that is just a formality. Actual hours will vary quite a bit! There's also no official deadline on the ad, but I would unofficially recommend submitting an application within the month.)
