The University of Sheffield Information School is seeking to invest in two strategic appointments designed to enhance and expand our exceptionally strong research and teaching profile in the field of Information Retrieval and/or Information Behaviour and related areas. The successful candidates will contribute to core and specialist undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the School, and to supervision of research students. The research and teaching expertise of the appointees will complement that of existing members of staff in one or more areas such as: information-seeking; search engines; digital libraries; human-computer interaction and usability; knowledge organisation, information architecture. Applied areas of interest include (but are not limited to) educational and cultural informatics. Chair in Information Science: The successful candidate will have an outstanding research track-record at an international level and proven ability to provide leadership for the next phase of our world-class research in this field.
