Dear AoIR colleagues, I’m happy to announce the CFP for a special issue of Internet Policy Review on “Monetization governance in the creator economy” that I am co-editing with Taylor Annabell, Emilija Jokubauskaitė, and Catalina Goanta. We’re bringing commerce to the center of platform governance conversations. If you’re interested in the politics surrounding monetisation (e.g., creator reward programs, advertising, fan funding, cryptocurrency) on mainstream, alternative, or adult content platforms, consider joining the conversation. We invite submissions that theorise, evaluate, and imagine new configurations of creators and commerce. Taylor and I will both be at the AoIR 2026 conference this week if you have any questions to ask or ideas to pitch. Read the full CFP here: https://policyreview.info/events/call-papers-monetisation-governance-creator... The deadline for abstracts is 1 February 2027, and full papers is 1 July 2027.
