Innovations in Online Research: A Workshop for PhDs- Manchester-May 9, 2019 - 9:30-4:45 Free workshop + Keynote by Dr Jamie Hakim from East Anglia University **ONLY FOUR MORE PLACES AVAILABLE** The Innovations in Online Research is a regional academic group connecting PGRs across England doing online methods. This workshop is a unique opportunity for networking and presenting your research in a friendly environment. We will also have a keynote by Jamie Hakim, from East Anglia University, titled: "Male Bodies in Digital Culture: Men Using Digital Media to Negotiate Neoliberalism in the post-2008 conjuncture." This FREE PGR-led workshop will be hosted by The University of Manchester’s Sociology Department in conjunction with postgraduate researchers from The University of Liverpool and Lancaster University. The event is open to all PGR students in the social sciences who use or plan to use online research methods. The event will include a roundtable, group discussion sessions, and a networking reception where participants will showcase their research using an A3 sized mini-poster. The event seeks to stimulate important debates about using online methods for social science research in the digital age.
