I was just about to say NetVizz is wonderful for this. Thanks for developing it, Bernhard! I use Netvizz data with Gephi to look for patterns of interactions and forms of networks among queer individuals. I expect this group to be non-hierarchical and found that to be the case. While not related to the memorial sites, this is a solid example of mining public Facebook groups for great information: http://jgieseking.org/visualizing-queer-exchange-friendships/. Hi,
What about Facebook fanpages besides Facebook groups? There does not seem to be much research, either qual or quant about Facebook fan pages? Do you have any advise on relevant literature and research methodologies. Has anybody devised a good way to scrape information from Facebook fan pages?
I develop a tool that allows to extract quite some information from both groups and pages: https://apps.facebook.com/netvizz/
