The sprint is part of the Digital Media Winter Institute, an annual event that is committed with innovative approaches to study Internet culture and social media, with a particular focus on digital methods approach. This year the theme is about the current state of platformisation - a phenomenon that shows how digital platforms have been mediators of different structures of society, while (re) organizing and making our daily life increasingly dependent on their infrastructure. Participants from around the world will connect to attend keynote lectures, short talks and join applied research projects. This year we will bring even more innovative formats for practical labs, including an exclusive track made for researchers non-familiar with digital methods. Applications open on November 1st and close on January 18, 2021. Main audience: doctoral students and scholars interested in developing research from the perspective of digital methods.
