In response to the earlier queries about accuracy of medical information on the net, let me immodestly suggest Rice, R.E. & Katz, J.E. (Eds.) (2001). The Internet and Health Communication: Experiences and Expectations. Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage. The first, long review chapter covers this topic as of late 2000. Even then there were some very good studies (some reported in JAMA) on this issue. Some other chapters also discuss accuracy and validity, as well as web design evaluations, of online health sites. ============================================================ Ronald E.
