Hi air-l colleagues, A $95-105k executive directorship is now open at a new Michigan research institute very relevant to aoir. The institute foregrounds "questions about social inequalities, including racial and gendered bias, in digital cultures." This would be a great job for someone working in tech who wants a change. It would also be good for someone with academic training who wants to do the alt.ac thing. It's an institute in start-up mode with the chance for a lot of creativity. Context: https://www.digitalstudies.umich.edu/ We are doing a lot of amazing hiring to grow this institute ( https://www.digitalstudies.umich.edu/news-events/all-news/search-news/dsi-an... ) I am not on the hiring committee, I'm just a member of the institute, but if it helps to email someone like me I'm happy to try answering questions unofficially. My unsanctioned notes on the ad: A Ph.D. is not required, any Master's is fine. This is a career position. It says "term limited" but this is HR-speak. This position will be renewed if the person works out. Please forward as appropriate. If you have names of people who would be great also feel free to email me. Hope this is of interest, Christian ------------------------------- https://careers.umich.edu/job_detail/187645/digital_studies_executive_direct...
