Kia ora / Hi SuMin, I've got a paper-in-progress touching on many of the themes you raised. "The Platform in Your Head: Conceptualizing the Subjectivity of Platform Labor." This essentially synthesizes a wide variety of platform labor research, including work by Glavin and others highlighting mental/psychological impacts, to explore the subjective experience of workers. nga mihi / best, Luke Research Fellow, Digital Cultures & Societies, UQ On Thu, 26 Oct 2023 at 20:43, 박수민(산학협력단 사회계열) via Air-L < air-l@listserv.aoir.org> wrote:
Dear AoIR members,
I am a sociologist studying food delivery platform labor. Recently, I have been very interested in the relationship between delivery apps and the safety of delivery workers. These are my key research questions: 1. What cognitive/psychological states do delivery apps trigger, and 2. Do these psychological states increase occupational safety and health risks?
I was wondering if I could get some recommendations for references from human computer interaction/human-AI interaction experts in the AoIR community regarding my research questions. If you could point me to one of your favorite papers, that would be a good place to start.
All he best,
