**** My apologies for cross posting **** The Ohio State University College of Education and Human Ecology Rank: Assistant/Associate Professor in E-learning Description: The Ohio State University's College of Education and Human Ecology (http://ehe.osu.edu/) is seeking a national leader in the area of e-learning research. We are interested in a colleague with an established research agenda that will inform our understanding of e-learning within K-12 or workforce contexts. While seeking tenure in either the School of Educational Policy and Leadership (http://ehe.osu.edu/epl/) or the School of Teaching and Learning (http://ehe.osu.edu/edtl/), the ideal candidate will initiate and coordinate research initiatives across the College and build an interdisciplinary focus on e-learning in one or more of the following areas: · Blended Learning · Developing and scaling e-learning approaches/interventions · Distance Education · E-learning Policy · Educational Video Games · Mobile learning · Technology and Curriculum Integration Qualifications: · Earned doctorate in Educational/Instructional Technology, Distance Education, Workforce Development, or a closely related field · Demonstrated excellence in teaching, including the innovative use of distance and related technologies along with a record of successful advising and mentoring of graduate-level research, commensurate with experience · Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a member of a team · Evidence of engagement in high quality externally funded research and scholarship in e-learning and a corresponding record of excellent research publications and presentations, commensurate with experience · An ability and interest in working with diverse populations Responsibilities: The successful candidate will: · Provide leadership in the development of the College’s e-learning efforts · Collaborate with the Ohio Resource Center/Digital Learning Clearinghouse (http://ohiorc.org/) on research and evaluation projects · Engage in a funded research agenda · Recruit, advise, and mentor students · Collaborate with faculty on research activities and grant proposal development · Teach face-to-face, online and blended courses · Engage in service and outreach Review of applications will begin approximately February 27, 2012, and will continue until the position is filled.
