Folks We are marking the tenth anniversary of the Soviet coup attempt, http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/international/AP-Russia-Coup-Anniversary.htm l?searchpv=aponline. Several people in Russia and the west were active on the Net during the coup attempt, and we captured much of the pertinent email and news group traffic at the time. This historical "source data," several paers and articles written at the time, and other material is available to the curious and to scholars interested in the impact of the Net during political crisis at http://www.cs.oswego.edu/~dab/coup/.
