JOB DESCRIPTION The post is aimed at applicants with documented research in the field of information science, and specifically within a minimum of one of the following five areas: - User and Behavioral Profiling - Information Behavior - Interaction Design, User Experience and Usability Testing - Data Mining and Business Intelligence - Quantitative Methods In terms of teaching, for the time being, the position is primarily affiliated with the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Communication and Digital Media, and with the Master’s program in Information Studies in particular. Aalborg University employs a problem-based learning (PBL) approach, and knowledge of PBL will therefore be considered an advantage. ASSISTANT PROFESSORSHIP A position as assistant professor is a fixed-term training position which includes an obligation to carry out research and teaching activities. To a limited extent, additional tasks may be defined by the University. The appointment includes a requirement to attend a course in university pedagogy for assistant professors organised by the University. The employment as assistant professor must not exceed a total period of four years at the same institution (a maximum of six years at assistant professor level at AAU and a maximum of eight years at assistant professor level in Denmark).
