Hi AoiR community, I wanted to let you know about a free, online conference that might be of interest to many of you. As part of the European Commission's *NGI initiative* <https://research.ngi.eu/>, the NGI Forward project, the City of Amsterdam and Nesta are organising a 2-day online conference (*28 and 29 September*) of keynotes, interactive workshops and panels, focused on setting out *a vision for a more democratic, resilient, sustainable, trustworthy and inclusive internet by 2030*, and discussing *concrete building blocks *- from policy interventions to technology solutions- that could help get us closer towards this vision. We'll be discussing a wide range of topics like building a greener internet, the ends of digital identity, geopolitics of tech, and procurement of fair AI. The main audience for this conference is policymakers from the local level up to the supranational, and civil society and researchers working on internet policy-related topics, but anyone interested in building a better future internet is more than welcome to join us. As you can see in the programme here <https://summit.ngi.eu/#programme>, the event will feature wide range of great speakers and organisations, including MEPs *Eva Kaili *and* Axel Voss*, Professors *Charlton McIlwain* ('Black Software'), *Anu Bradford *('The Brussels Effect') and *Payal Arora* ('The Next Billion Users'), Former President of Estonia *Toomas Hendrik Ilves*, Dutch State Secretary *Raymond Knops *and also many (other) members of the AoiR community! *YOU CAN SIGN UP HERE <https://summit.ngi.eu/register/>* Hope to see some of you there!
