there has been some discussion on this on elsewhere, apparently they were akamai'd before, but akamai may have voided the contract, but getting hold of the actually records of this would be pretty tough.
The NY Times ran a pretty good piece on this (http://www.xent.com/pipermail/fork/2003-April/019695.html). For what it's worth, it seems that the site is now hosted in Sophia-Antipolis (so-called "Telecom Valley" near Nice, in France) by a data centre operator called NavLink. Who, in turn, is apparently a Delaware-registered company run out of Sophia-Antipolis that does a large chunk of its business in the Middle East, with offices in Beirut and in the tax-free Dubai Internet City. cheers Bram
