For anyone in Seattle next week, we invite you to join us in developing a grounded theory of “data solidarity” through a collaborative speculative design workshop. We will begin by investigating data artifacts, drawing from our own research and / or from personal experiences in a datafied world. This will be followed by a facilitated sequence of creative techniques to imagine how our data artifacts - and the social relations they reflect and reproduce - might be radically reconfigured towards a politics of solidarity. All supplies will be provided; a laptop is suggested but not required. 1:30 PM - 3:20 PM, Friday Sept 05 First Floor: Diamond A - Sheraton Grand Seattle, SpaceTower Any questions please reach out to Rebecca Smith (rsmith8@ltu.edu) / Linda Huber (Lhuber1@swarthmore.edu) -- Rebecca Smith pronouns: she / they Doctoral Candidate, Architecture Taubman College of Architecture & Urban Planning University of Michigan rebsmi@umich.edu
