Dear Kurniawan Saputro, El Mon, 27 Feb 2012 13:01:03 -0800 (PST) Kurniawan Saputro <kurniawansaputro@yahoo.com> comentaba:
As part of my research on public's communication during a crisis response, I have been looking for ways to archive past tweets of a public twitter account. Up until now, I have not seen any satisfactory ways to do it. It is always partial, whereas the accounts I want to archive have more than 10.000 posts. I wonder if anyone of you would be so kind to tell me how to do it or show me a software/application to do it. Any suggestions are appreciated.
http://greptweet.com can collect the last 3200 tweets of any account. If you use it regularly, you can gather more than 10000 tweets seamlessly. But there is a big problem with this tool: It uses the public Twitter API, so you cannot go to the "past" (if the account has already posted those 10000 tweets, using greptweet you've already lost 10000 - 3200 tweets ;-/) Best regards, -- Pablo Garaizar Sagarminaga Universidad de Deusto Avda. de las Universidades 24 48007 Bilbao - Spain Phone: +34-94-4139000 Ext 2512 Fax: +34-94-4139101
