An important industry site is www.openp2p.com, run by O'Reilly (the book publisher. You can find links to trade shows and conferences from there. Possibly interesting (should be, at least) from a gaming perspective (or any online social systems perspective) is the potential emergence of a new acronym from O'Reilly, PIE, which stands for Presence, Identity, Edge.
