Dear All, This is a reminder that the deadline to submit proposals for IAMCR 2020 pre-conference events coincides with the deadline to submit abstracts - 10 February. Pre-conferences in China will be held at the School of Film and TV Arts at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University<https://www.xjtlu.edu.cn/en/> (XJTLU) in Suzhou<https://www.xjtlu.edu.cn/en/life-at-xjtlu/scenery-and-outdoors> (70 kms. Northwest of Shanghai and 4.5 hours from Beijing by high-speed train) a joint venture founded by the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong university. They will be held on 10 or 11 July, or on both days in the event of a two-day event. Rooms and standard audio-visual equipment will be provided by XJTLU free of charge. Event organisers will be responsible for any other costs, such as lunches or coffee breaks. Pre-conference event organisers may charge a reasonable registration fee to cover costs. XJTLU will fund 50 grants of up to 2,500 RMB (approximately USD 350) to contribute to cost of travel and accomodation of pre-conference participants who are early-career IAMCR members from low and middle income countries.
