FYI --Moses Boudourides Call For Papers COST-A20 Conference The Impact of Internet on the Mass Media in Europe Delphi, Greece, April 26-28, 2006 http://www.cost-a20.wb.st/ Media and the wider sector of communication are changing under the impact of the Internet. The changes affect all aspects of the communication process, audiences, media and information producers and, inevitably, the role of the media in society. The aim of this conference is to analyze systematically the new phenomena and the dynamics of change of the European media landscape. It will be held at Delphi, Greece, from April 26 to April 28, 2006. Hosted by the European Cultural Centre of Delphi and Panteion University, Department of Communication, Media and Culture, the conference is an activity of COST Action 20, opened to all researchers interested on the issue. What is COST Action A 20? COST Action A 20 is a wide European network of researchers, which reaches 22 countries, investigating the effects of the Internet on mass media industries. The Action, called "The Impact of the Internet on the Mass Media in Europe", wants to generate a detailed scientific knowledge of the European dimensions of such important social phenomenon, which will provide the basis for further research, teaching and exploitation.
