[Air-L] screen casting on tablets and PCs without video files

Hello all, I'm working on a study that involves recording (or somehow capturing) user interactions on Android tablet devices (Samsung Nexus). Does anyone happen to know of a good way to do this? I'm hoping to avoid having to analyze a bunch of video on the back end, so if there's anything that takes screenshots and saves them, that would be great. But at this point I'm considering all options. Also, I am also interested in if anyone has suggestions for good screen casting options for PCs that don't involve video files.
