1) Fair use is specific to the United States (and Israel). Emily appears to be located in Taiwan. She almost certainly has no fair use claim. Australian law does not have a general “fair use” defence but it does allow for "fair dealing" in the use of copyrighted material for the purpose of research or study. A quick Google suggests similar provisions under Taiwanese law. Marj
