From the website http://www.bedfordstmartins.com/online/index.html, I found out that there are several ways to cite a posting to a web discussion forum. Each has its own citation style of providing information as follows. 1. "Think They'll Find Any Evidence of Mallory & Irvine?" Online posting. 30 Apr. 1999. Mt. Everest >99 Forum. 28 May 1999 < http://everest.mountainzone.com/99/forum>. 2. APA style The fifth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2001) - Author's name - Date of posting, in parentheses - Title of posting - Posting statement * Abeles, T. Friends-
I am currently putting the finishing touches on a journal manuscript and need to know the "correct" style for citing on-line discussion group posts. This is terra incognita for the editors and I suspect I can be creative in this regard. However, I would appreciate it if anyone out there in AOIR land has any experience with this issue, both in terms of bibliography as well as in text citation and quotes.
Thanks,
Andrew Herman
