[Air-L] Research on middle class and use of social media for political participation

Dear fellow AoiR's, I am doing a qualitative PhD research at the University of Bonn on how the middle class are using social media to engage in political discussions online vis-a-vis their actions offline, to communicate with politicians, to mobilize and protest when certain political decisions are made by leaders etc. Does anyone know of research that sheds more light on how the middle class utilize social media to shape politics?
