Call for Papers for a Special Issue with Ethics and Information Technology on “Ethics and Social Networking Sites” Social Networking Sites (SNS) have become one of the main means for exchanging and sharing information between people. More so, SNS are increasingly recognized as a rich source for gathering (personal) information. People are encouraged by e.g. peers and (potential) employers to participate in social networking sites and enjoy the benefits, on the other hand the prominence of SNS give rise to ethical questions, concerning the processing and dissemination of personal information, the disclosure of sensitive/intimate information, privacy, identity (theft) and many more. The editors at Ethics and Information Technology are seeking articles for a special issue in this area. Submissions will be double-blind refereed for relevance to the theme as well as academic rigor and originality. High quality articles not deemed to be sufficiently relevant to the special issue may be considered for publication in a subsequent non-themed issue.
