Professor Subramony will explore equitable access to the emancipatory potential of educational and communications technologies (ECT) and the social and cultural impact of ECT adoption and use upon diverse stakeholder groups across the nation and the globe. Mr. Heggart will focus in on a global citizenship program, Justice Citizens, that sought to develop active citizenship amongst high school students via the use of critical pedagogy and technology rich environments. This program facilitated participants’ ability to develop social and professional networks as well as a range of technology related skills related to global citizenship. *Presenters:* *Dr. Deepak P. Subramo*ny is a faculty member in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Kansas State University, starting this summer. He has previously served on the faculties of Grand Valley State University and Utah State University. He holds a Master's in Mass Communication from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University. He has been an active member of AECT since 2002, serving as President of Minorities in Media from 2007 to 2009. He was the recipient of the 2014 McJulien Scholar Award from AECT's Culture, Learning and Technology Division. *Mr. Keith Heggart* is a teacher and academic. He is currently completing his Ph D in Education at the University of Technology, Sydney. In the past, he was worked as a teacher and educational leader in the United Kingdom and Australia.
