Hi Luis, In India, a new political party Aam Aadmi Part (literal English translation: Common Man's Party) which was established in 2012-13 used social media extensively for campaigning and mobilisation and in 2015 won Assembly election in national capital of Delhi by defeating two big national parties. Can anyone recommend some must-read literature on independent candidates or brand-new parties that relied almost exclusively on social media to communicate and mobilize? I’m interested in doing a case study about a campaign happening right now (not in the US, or at least not as such..) and need some context for it.
Also, if you’re a social media data ninja (particularly Facebook Live data) and you’re interested in collaborations, feel free to reach out. Bilingual colleagues are especially welcome.
