Colleagues:
Some of you will recall that the rumours went round 4 or 5 months ago about the Canadian government's intention to cut all funding for the Community Access and related programs (and in one fell swoop destroy almost all of the community informatics infrastructure in the country!).
The rumours died down and very modest interim funding was made available.
The rumours again are hot and heavy and as below the budget will be announced on Monday and it appears that there is still time to have an influence on whether the program lives or dies...
If for no other reason than to see as good a case as any I've seen for commuity access facilities (in the 20 or so blog posts already in place) take a look at http://ict-cap.blogspot.com/ and if possible contribute something to the discussion.

TAP Hi everyone, I am really hoping that all of you can visit http://ict-cap.blogspot.com/ and post a comment now. Our budget comes down on Monday - there is very little time to make an impact - but we have heard that Ottawa is monitoring the blog - a few INTERNATIONAL comments on the CAP program would go a LONG way. Please post today. Bev TAP@telecenters.ca
