This might be of interest, apologies for cross posting. The Centre for Law and Society at Lancaster University is organising a conference which may be of interest to you and/or your colleagues. The conference will be looking at the silencing of audible and visible women – from the scolds’ bridle in the middle ages to internet and social media ‘trolling’ in the 21st Century. Professor Feona Attwood (Middlesex), has kindly agreed to be the keynote speaker; she is speaking on ‘Sisterhood, Sex and Censorship’. The conference will be on 14th September 2015.
