Just had a thought following this. I'm building a community wiki at (www.musowiki.net) as part of my PhD research - but analysing the growth (or lack of it) of the community is NOT part of what I'm interested in. I'm building it for other reasons. If anyone wants a case study from 0-100 (less 4 days), it's up for grabs ... Maciej,
In 2005, there was a Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication issue dedicated to online community themes and issues: http://jcmc.indiana.edu/vol10/issue4/
Here are a few very good practitioner blogs where you may want to sift through posts:
Nancy White: http://www.fullcirc.com/weblog/onfacblog.htm
Lee Lefever/CommonCraft: http://www.commoncraft.com/blog
Online Community Report: http://www.onlinecommunityreport.com/
You may also want to check out the lead up to the Community Next Conference:
Hope this helps,
Paul

Hi,
I am looking for literature that deals with building online communities in light of web2.0. I would be especially interested in market entry strategies - viral marketing, building community's critical mass, etc. Can you suggest anything valuable? Of course I prefer free resources (+elsevier) but a good book or two would be fine as well.
Kind Regards, Maciej _______________________________________________ The air-l@listserv.aoir.org mailing list is provided by the Association of Internet Researchers http://aoir.org Subscribe, change options or unsubscribe at: http://listserv.aoir.org/listinfo.cgi/air-l-aoir.org
